For some reason, I wasn't able to get there until 11:30 this day and look what happened! It all goes on and then some of it has to be taken off. Cutting out the T-111 to make a window opening.

Stretching the chalkline to mark out the window opening. Holes were drilled in the corners from the inside to mark the opening on the outside. We keep seeing a lot of this character.

Flashing catches any condensation behind the siding, protects the mudsill from rain runoff. Vent is mounted with masonry screws. To the right, a good view of the Tyvek wrap that keeps the drafts out.

Stapling down the last few items so that Tyvek stays in place. Where'd the view go?

Remember those extra-long J-bolts in the foundation? The ones that were getting in the way when we were framing up? Well, here is where they end up. Each corner of the house gets two pair of double studs firmly tied with these angle brackets down to the foundation to ensure structural integrety for the earthquake damage resistance standards.
