All the flooring joists are in awaiting the insulation crew. Plumbing and gas lines have been installed and pressure tested so they are ready to be covered up.

Due to some special needs with this house, we aren't using the usual platform construction where the joists lay on top the mudsill. They are suspended with hanger brackets from the mudsill with a section of felt paper placed between the end of the joist and the concrete. The joists are of wooden I-beam construction and the center beam support is a short cripple wall that sits on top of the footing running down the center of the foundation.

Hmm. . . Is that why they call it a crawl-space? Nice layer of plastic ground-sheeting down there to help keep out the moisture. Running the Nylon line underneath the joists so the insulation has support.

I think she's having too much fun!

A few more hands makes the work go faster!

That about wraps it up, insulation will go in on top of the Nylon line. I had to head over to Medford and so didn't get to take pictures of the Fiberglas going down. General safety meeting about dealing with the heavy materials involved in laying down the floor sheeting.

And here's what happens in about four hours, quite a bit! A shot down under and one on top for the finished floor insulation.
