General window opening detail can be seen here. The header is supported by two trimmer studs. Material will be inserted between the header and plate to transfer the weight from the trusses down through the header to the trim studs to the foundation. The rough sill for the window is supported by two more trim studs on the outside and a series of cripple studs in between. |

| The filler between the header and the plate is being installed. It can be kind of a tight fit getting the several layers of material wedged in there. . . and then nail it in place! |
The final step for framing the outside wall is installing the top plate on the perimeter double plate and you see it going into place here. This is where the final squaring up for the walls occurs. |

This day is pretty much spent and we are already contemplating the interior and exterior window trim. Next comes the siding. |
