Looking pretty good, eh? Window openings, a door opening, and a vent hanging there in space. Lots of that bright stuff as well. Feels like spring!

From this end, you can see the final stack of trusses. . . and for visual effect, a sight across the future ridgeline into the clouds.

 

Just one more truss to go in place. . . and there it is. The main roof trusses in the porch area were assembled with the ends cut flush with the top plate.

 

 

 

The roof trusses are all in place. The front porch trusses are another project for another day.

 

 

Mid-afternoon and its starting to cloud up a bit. . . umm, what's next? Well, a little rest is necessary after all that work above.

 

Our model with a staged shot. He's also good with tools. ;^) Installing the diagonal bracing for the gable end.

 

The diagonal brace in place with cap-strip. All interior walls get blocking where necessary so the sheet-rockers will have a place to fasten down the ceiling sheetrock. That pretty much wraps up the roof truss phase of this project.
