|
Construction Supervisor Working closely with the Construction Committee, this person oversees all aspects of construction including budget preparation and monitoring approving purchases, monitoring work schedules and inspections. Supervises Job Foremen/House Leaders. (Flexible schedule, requiring approximately 10-20 hours per week throughout a six-month project.)
Working closely with the Construction Supervisor, this person would gather bids from local vendors for materials - trying to get as much in-kind donations and discounts as possible. (Flexible schedule, working 4 hours per week for two to six months per project). Home Maintenance Coordinator Under the direction of the Construction Supervisor, this person would respond to Habitat homeowners maintenance requests during their one-year warranty period after building is complete. Coordinating necessary repair work and training new homeowners in home maintenance is part of the job. (Very flexible schedule with fewest hours.) Job Site Host/Hostess This person is on the job site to greet volunteers, show them how to sign in/out, and introduce them to the person who will direct their work that day. They also coordinate the lunches for volunteers, help with cleanup at the end of the day, and send thank you notes to volunteers. (Can work one to three days per week for 3-6 months per project.) Crew Leaders and Crew Members Working under the Job Foreman, a Crew Leader leads his/her work crew doing one aspect of construction (or trade) on each Habitat house. We need Crew Leaders for each of the following jobs: Foundation
and concrete
Transportation Coordinator Working with the material procurement coordinator to pick up donated and purchased materials which are not delivered to the job site. A pickup with a lumber rack is suggested. |
